How to format a BF post?

Is there a page/post about how to format a post? I am interested in including links to other web sites, perhaps using text enhancements like bold or italic, <quote>, etc. Asking for a friend, who doesn't want to be NOOBD.

You can copy and paste links. The tool bar with bold, italic and more appears just above where you type your post. There is a quote button at the bottom of each post. In general, BF etiquette favors limiting bold, italics, all caps etc to single words or short phrases within your post. Extensive use of these "enhancements" is viewed negatively as excessive attention seeking.

Any text you link to an external URL should automatically appear blue and underlined. For example. You will also be unable to post URLs until you have a few more posts. But all formatting options should appear in the text editor menu at the top of the text editor. You won't need to type any code.
