Just hacksaw the same profile but moved over a bit. Drill a new hole in about the same place & reuse the old hardware. Easy-peasy.

Great point. I think I can manage wielding a hacksaw without mangling it too bad.

It worked great- just sawed off a little of the end, filed the edge relatively smooth, drilled a new hole and it mounted just fine.

Nice job. Metalwork can be a lot of fun.
And your's looks way better than the SKS or anything adjustable. Proper fit parts will always look better than (and be lighter than, probably quieter than, less hassle than...), adjustable ones.
