People are either making dumb angry offers, or berating the seller. You get a lot of clowns on CL. He isn't going to sell anything without a pic.
I would never ship a bike. Not worth the effort. I have done quite well on CL. At least with realistic prices.

I haven't shipped a bike (I shipped a pair of speakers -- which was easy because I still had their original shipping box -- and a bike shipping case (empty)). "Not worth the effort" -- depends on the $$. At some point it becomes worth the effort. If they're not willing to pay that much, then you just say no.

Used Bar Tape!

Things that make you go "hmmm?"

FELT USED BAR WRAP HANDLE BAR TAPE BLACK

I'm really not understanding this... (And boy, am I gonna feel stoopit if the poster is one of us).
$12.90 for used Felt (brand) bar wrap - no end plugs. Not old enough to be vintage or rare. The new stuff is $14.99 from Felt.

The seller appears to be a salvager / parts collector; some of his other stuff is nice and reasonably priced. Perhaps he strips the bike, and this stuff is too good to pitch, but not worth selling for $5-10?

, anyone?

Slingshot bike frame, anyone?

Those frames have a dedicated following over on mtbr.com

That actually looks like a pretty darn smart design...front suspension with LESS weight..

However..I'm having a hard time seeing what's going on at the junction of the top tube and seat tube. Is it just riveted together there? Looks odd. Regardless..seems like a good design if that junction flexes only vertically.

I don't think it moves laterally:
Which brings us neatly to the Slingshot Farmboy. Whoever would have thought that replacing a frame's down tube with a spring-loaded stainless steel cable and adding a flexing fibreglass 'dog bone' hinge at the back end of the top tube might tame the trail better than many other hardtails and nearly as well as some short travel soft-tails? But it does, albeit with a couple of quirky mannerisms that you'll either hate or grow to love.
From this review of the Farmboy.

Google turned up this MTBR thread.

Clever idea!

Hah I actually just read about it too. Yea it looks like a very interesting design. I was wrong...it actually should work as a full suspension bike...the whole bike splays out when you hit bumps, which makes sense of course looking at the bike a second time.

I want one

Kestrel KM40 Airfoil Spinergy retro - $1000

I love the addition to mount the front derailleur! You can just imagine the designer when someone asked where it goes "Oh sh*t! I'll fix it.."

Is this setup normal?

this is the normal setup for this derailleur. It uses a short noodle/tube at the housing stop on the chainstay.

Can't imagine this cost more than $100 brand new. But now you can get it used, without brake pads, flat tires, covered in rust and spider webs for cool one hundred bills...

Yeah, someone pointed this out a few days ago. That noodle/tube is not part of the setup of the subject bike, tho, which is why it looked weird to me.

I think the second chain thing will work if you flip the freewheel to the left side. Cuz if it's on the right side the bike will just go in a big right circle!

Curious minds need to know... who pays the MSRP on these things new? How is this demonstrably better than the used Radio Flyer version that I picked up for $15?

Porsche Balance Bike - $150

It says "PORSCHE" on the tube and mag wheels, so if you've got a Porsche your little racer-to-be can feel like she's part of the team.

Sign post? Not only does this seller mention it once, but twice! lol

Really nice 3 speed bike w/kick stand, wheel lock, and sign post. - $200 (san mateo)
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/bik...224101338.html
I'm selling a really nice 3 speed bike. Great for somebody 5'0" and 5'9" and needs a good working bike.

The bike has almost no rust and works great. The silver parts are stain-less steel: kick stand and sign post.

Tires and tubes are new.

No low ballers... serious offers only.

When I first read the description of "Lock and Sign Post", I was sure the bike would still be attached to the sign post. Perhaps with a ball of concrete hanging off the bottom

I wonder if it includes a SEAT Post???

I've been trying to sell a Mercier 300 for $500 that is in terrific shape and no buyers but this wreck... even its a Peugeot it's a tough sell. I would only pay $200.
Shifters are on wrong sides and it will be around $1000 to restore her.

I've been wondering what those ridiculous things looked like in real life. The "Shimaro" shifters are a nice touch, and the "SunRun" mechs. Even Jan Heine gets a shoutout with some Compass tires?

A bit frustrated with this listing, as it's nearly the only C&V thing around, it's been up for a month, and no budging on asking price. At $35 it'd be an ideal ride for the Klunker 100.

I have a Raleigh Grand Prix. It has been keep in the garage for the last 40 years.
It is great shape, but it will need tires and a tune up. every thing still original.
with a Avocet Touring II seat. bike is a 26 inch. Bike has been valued at $600.00. It is in this Very Good of shape. Im letting it go for $350.00 SUMMER IS HEAR, TIME TO PUT YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTION TO THE TEST.

https://panamacity.craigslist.org/bi...210675197.html

I asked the guy where he got his appraisal, he said somewhere local. I'm guessing they just told him what he wanted to hear.
