I've got an almost identical Diamondback Ascent, it's great! If the frame isn't bent, this would actually be pretty nice. Unfortunately, buying it would involve dealing with the deluded adolescent who seems to be selling it.

I remember a square wheel bike in a museum once (Chicago Museum of Industry and Science maybe?) where it came also with a non-flat track designed to work well together with the square wheels

Those of you who were around at the time of the Islamic Revolution in Iran will probably recall this salute to its leader from the bike industry. This Ayatollah Khomeni seat includes a whole Raleigh Record for $100. Surprisingly, if you Google him and search Images this one does not appear.

Brings back memories of the crazy "My Sharona" = "Ayatollah" parody song (Steve Dahl & Teenage Radiation) that was in constant rotation on the local radio

It's worth 20 bucks. An 86.87,88 Diamondback Ascent? Well worth 20.

I think that was during his Detroit WRIF (or was it ABX?) days, the DDK, etc. Before he moved to Chicago and blew up all those disco records at Comiskey (or was it Wrigley?). Many dead brain cells ago....

Here you go......
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/...636230378.html
Said to say I was at my LBS when a few folks came in wanting to replace some tires and do a few other things to get their rides ready for the next event .They didn't know how to adjust the saddle on their rides as well as how to change their tires.....but they were excited to be ready for the next Burning Man.
Maybe setting up a repair station would be a good idea.
Best, Ben

Hey, it looks wacky to me.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...642635952.html

I realize if the brake cables (or just the right one) were a little higher, it would be more thread appropriate.

I dunno man, clean bike with good frame and components for a decent price? I'd say "eclectic" at best, but not wacky
