The Newest and Most Improved Hot or Not

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am catching up a bit after being away for a while. That is a seriously sweet bike. I am not crazy about gumwalls in modern applications. That bike may be the hottest bike on the thread without the gumwalls. Obviously subjective. Nice job!

That white and chrome bike... Really?

Mechanical disk brakes? Non-setback alloy seatpost? I think the post and stem are debadged Thomson?

Those Velocity Aileron rims are boat anchors.

I will give it this - the rotors are hot and the Campy levers have always looked sexy.

I don't have a garage now so this will have to do.... New Cinelli SC frameset built with Potenza silver crankset, brakes and derailleur and early 90's Athena brake levers, Campy ProFit pedals, Cinelli XA polished stem and Criterium bars, Mavic alloy tubulars, Curtis Odom hubs 32h and Veloflex Vlaanderen tubs, Campy aero seatpost and Selle Italia Flite saddle.

I set it up with Ene Ciclo 11 spd DT shifters for that vintage look and feel and these work great_ as a matter of fact I have them on another steel frame. Still need to replace the hoods for the correct ones, these will do until the post office gets around delivering...

meh its not an worthwhile upgrade. I spent the cash on ceramic bearing threaded bottom bracket upgrade and the stage power meter on the other arm. Those are more usable upgrades to me vs a DA9100 crankset. To each their own

Not debating the "upgrades". Just not "the hottest bike in the thread". A nicer crank would bring it up a notch.

Love everything about this bike on paper but the sloping top tube and seat stay junctions just kill it. If you moved it all over to a tcx it would be fire

Seeing a bike in the wild with yellow bar tape would have never gotten a hot from me, until I saw yours. It works, and it works well.

Nicely done. Hot.
