I picked up my 1st road bike yesterday. I took it on it's 1st 30 miles today.
It's a 2010 Specialized Roubaix Expert.
I added a Sigma Rox 9. Other than that it's stock.
I know you'll all tell me to "dump the tires, wheels, and seat" but I'm happy with them all. I'm coming from a Specialized Sirrus (which I'll be keeping) which was used exclusively for road use.
It sure is a change coming from a hybrid to a road bike. I know the Roubaix is more relaxed than most other road bikes but compared to the Sirrus I fill like I'm laying down flat on my belly. After just 30 miles today my back is tired....I'm sure I'll get used to it after a few hundred miles.
And an inexpensive CF cage from Wally World by Bell.

What did you not like about them that you returned them?

Got it this afternoon. Applying the prescribed leather protectant on it tonight, and it will be on my bike and on the road tomorrow.

A pair of Vittoria Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge tyres.
DSCI1354.JPG
Hopefully they will be better than the 'orrible Serfas SECAs on my "modern" road bike.
Oh and a book on a Kiwi/Dutch pro from the 1970s, Tino Tabak.

That's a good price. I'm a bit over low-spoke count wheels, broke one on my 16F. Ride over. I've been using my old open pro front, forgot how solid they are.
