A mapped route from Boulder To Denver
On the 4th of July I rode to a friend's house in Denver from Boulder. I have seen a lot of post on here about getting from Boulder to Denver (and in reverse) so I decided to try to find something that might help. I spent a good amount of time trying to find the best route, and I think I was pretty successful. Below is a link to a google map I made of the route. Great post!
You can actually avoid Sheridan alltogether if you take 60th ave to Tennyson to 46th. You will miss the bike path, but its not heavily traveled.

I took Simms/Alkire North and South to/from 120th on Bike to Work day and it is now my favorite N/S artery through Arvada, beats the heck out of Wadsworth or Indianna. I was coming from Golden however so I am not sure on heading East once you get around the Lake.

Wow. That's nifty. I take a similar route from Denver to work in Arvada, but I don't know Boulder as well. Helpful to know that Interlocken and McCaslin are suitable for bikes.

Another suggestion. Don't go all the way to Sloan's Lake. Turn on 29th at Perry and ride east and turn onto 15th St. This will take you right by the REI store. You can turn right just before you ride over the Platte River (but you will be traveling at a good rate of speed at that point...it's a great downhill
) and access the Cherry Creek Path. Take Cherry Creek to Lawrance and you'd be right at the DCPA.

hello all;
nice but i think i can go one better. marshall to macaslin is great but instead of heading over to wads come down indiana. on 80th go east to kipling. this is where my everyday commute kicks in. (https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en...,0.181103&z=13)
1. south on kipling it will turn into oberon
2. stay on oberon, it'll jog around some then south on carr
3. off of car catch the ralston creek trail east
4. off of ralston creek catch clear creek trail east again, beautiful bridge here
5. exit the trail on tennyson or lowell head south (d1 on tenn, lowell goes by regis univ)
6. east on 46th (denver bike trail d2 i think, hit a goose here, story later)
7. south on navajo (still denver bike trail d2 and d5)
8. east on 37th (it has an underpass -- you'll come out at the old denver post building, cuernavaca park, this is d5)
9. go through the park and your there, right on 20th by coors field.
btw, sorry for any spelling issues -- i realize it irritates some folks.
i'll draw up a map tomorrow, must go get the kids to bed. check back tomorrow.

I'll add my two cents. Did this today and experienced very few sketchy spots (287 for about a mile but not scary). Definitely a hilly route but great views.
