Bianchi Cortina or Jamis Commuter

Hi all. I'm looking for an entry level commuter bike. I've narrowed it down to the Bianchi Cortina or Jamis Commuter 1. I might also consider the Commuter 2 if there is a compelling reason. What do you think- which is a better bike- the Bianchi or Jamis?

The Jamis Commuter. Its set up out of the box as a complete commuter bike.

With the Bianchi Cortina, you'll have to add fenders and a rear rack.

I'd rather have the bike turnkey.

I'll second the Jamis. Ready to roll with nice accessories. It's a good looking bike too.

Hands down the Jamis--colour-matched rack, fenders, and chain case? Phhh. No question! It's a nicer looking bike too.

Also agree Jamis. And looking at Commuter 1 vs 2, I don't see any extra features on the 2 that would justify the extra $100. In fact, the 2's aluminum frame might even be a downgrade, although the 1 is just hi-ten steel, not nice steel.

+1 for the Jamis.

The bianchi is a bike that you'll have to source things for hoping you get the right size or that they'll fit great as opposed to the jamis which comes all set with all the things you'll need besides a set of panniers.
