Peugeot City Bike (150 €)

I am currently looking into this Peugeot city bike second hand that is being sold for 150 €. I admit I am not so knowledgeable about the asking price and if it is reasonable or not.

I am looking for a bike in Paris, nothing too intense as it is just for city commuting. I would appreciate any advice on the pricing of this and if there are any good questions to relay to the seller.

Thanks in advanced for the help !

150 is too much.
Steel wheels are best replaced.
The mudguards are rubbish.
The brakes are probably poor.
No carrier.
On the other hand it will probably ride poorly but continue to do so for a long time with no maintenance. Do not buy unseen

Agree with post 2 but the tires look good which is a plus on an old bike.

Agree price is too much. Rims are not great as stated. Swaged crank is low-end. The frame is nice with little rust. So that is a positive. I have no clue as to pricing in your area. Maybe it is a fair market price, but I wouldn't pay that much unless it was in better shape.

I would say too high off price also and really just not a good choice for a rider. The cheap not so great strait bar conversion along with the rusty semi junk parts and wheels mean it will not ride good or safely as is . It will need he asking price and them some in parts and labor to get it were it's a safe good riding commuter.

more than 20 years ago I bought a bike at a trocathlon ( https://occasions.decathlon.fr/evene...tart=&dateEnd= ) for 200 Francs (about 41E now according to https://www.insee.fr/fr/information/2417794 ) and I must say it looked better than this bike ... but sometimes you find good deals at trocathlon or maybe trocathlon in a more distant suburb (I was living near Versailles at that time) is cheaper than Paris market ...

it already looked old more than 20 years ago but it's still working good (need some grease though)

Nothing wrong with a beater but the price should be ZERO. Let's face it even if nice mid level MTB 's and nice Rodiies hard frame steel bikes from the 80's and early 90's are silly cheap prices Cl or thrift Stores and bike coops. I paid less than $100 for the last five beaters I have owned. My personnel MTB is a zero Dollar salvage pickup less $10 chain invested ,
