First 4.6KM!
So I went for my first legit bike ride and I went 4.6 km on a dirt road with lots of potholes and a little wet, only had to stop twice, once for a puff and once on the way back because I was winded. I is on a **** wall so on the way back the wind was going head onto 30km/h wind. I know it is dick all in distance for most of you but it felt good.
P.S. my bike is fairly heavy and I am fighting a chest cold if that counts

I think with bike forums you are meant to multiply your distance and speed by 1.6 so quick, adjust it to fit in!
Good work on getting out and riding though, you'll be going further and faster in no time!

You had to stop for a puff? As in ciggies? Please tell me you're working on quitting.

I know I have more than enough vices to bother judging anyone elses, what with the amount of beer I drink. What you really need to do is figure out how to light up WHILE you ride. Cool like snakes.
And congrats on your first ride, everything will get easier. Wait, no that's not right...what do they say? "It doesn't get easier, you just get faster". You'll get faster. I've been commuting on the same route for a year now, I still get home just as sweaty.

Once you get the hang of riding hands free you won't have to stop to light up
