Veloce escape rd shifting problem
Hi, I been looking here and there and I found a few good threads and all continues pretty weird, my 1st time using veloce ok? record and chorus zero issues ever. RD is veloce also.
Bought a BNIB veloce escape shift levers, Since the 1st moment started missing shifts, at the begining was the 2nd small cog missing, then the middle one. Decided to put another wheel with a record cassette and a spanking new chorus 10 chain (was using a wipperman), shifting improved. Dialed all again, all kind'a perfect.
Next day testing again the shifting and the tension of the cable went to lala land. Put a new campy shifter cable thinking the old one was messing around since it was used. Bought new casing also (jagwire) in a store nearby, so looks like is not a cable stuck somewhere.
After like 2 hours trying to dial this thing again i got it right, not perfect but right.
Today noticed the cable tension has lose again, this time did not tension the cable that much based in a previous thread. Added some sand paper also to avoid cable slipping also.
The shifting is working but in the last 4 big cogs the shifthing is not perfect, anybody can figure it out what it can be? Record shift even if the cable is lose and this thing looks like doesnt want to shift that right only just because, nutz...
Thanks in advance..
Uman.
ps: The shifters are Campagnolo Veloce Infinite QS Escape and the RD aswell
