I have one complete bike and another frame and fork packed into a single bike box, with room to spare. Once I become certain all is well, I will cut it down, both length wise and height wise, and tape it up. The trick will be to leave the roll of gorilla tape inside. I have some ideas.

In order to accomplish said packing job, the only thing attached to either frame is a clamp on derailleur guide. The wheels have been reduced to hubs and rims. The spokes weren't worth saving. Forks and headsets removed too. I've gone to these lengths one other time, and it proved to be worth the effort. The Dingdingding moment would be if they choose to not saddle me with the oversize surcharge.

Also, the candid truth is that, if I search my soul, I can find very little desire to spend 22 hrs x 2 in an aeroplane in 9 days, even the front of an aeroplane.

Welp, that went well. 
Morning ride got rained out so, while replacing my brake pads, I figured I'd finally properly bleed the brakes on the Domane (whoever installed them didn't do a great job). The Domane didn't come with a bleed block so I dug out the bleed block from the Haanjo's brakes. Despite both being Shimano systems, the block didn't fit quite right, but I figured I'd make it work.
Except it didn't work. Block slipped out of position, one of the pistons skewed a bit and blew a seal. Yay.

It might be possible, with hours of dicking around, for me to get it back together and leak-free... but it's 50 bucks or so for a new caliper with pads (pads are ~$20 alone), so I'm going that route. Should take me a half hour to install and bleed once it arrives.

Oh, absolutely. I have a buddy in Hervey Bay, and he schooled me quite well in the nuances. Sort of like asking someone from your part of the world if they're English, after hearing them talk. Not good. Not good at all.

Went for a ride. Now assembling deck furniture. Cycling is more fun and rewarding than putting together stupid, I mean lovely, deck/patio furniture. In case anyone was wondering.

Surprised Mo can’t figure a way to get to Oz even at the last minute. I mean there are planes from all over the west coast going every day. The front seating could be a problem, and I don’t blame him for passing on economy.

Turns out Mo could actually could have gone at the last minute, and in the front of the plane, for about 9,000 USD, one-way, which the erring administrators offered to shake loose from his uber bosses. However, he had suggested to his long-suffering spouse, who had already arrived in Sydney, that she look for a flight home in case he didn't show, and by the time the admins had waved all of the government regs, one by one, to make this ridiculous expenditure possible, she had booked a flight home on Friday and gone to sleep. The taxpayers can thank her for this!
