Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

I don't know man, the way that soda is looking at the Ritchey, I'd be careful.

Soma Fog Cutter
Wow, I think this bike is exactly what I'm looking for. Looking at the geo they think it could handle up to 650b x 47mm tires, too. Sent Soma an email asking if they have a waiting list or something for the new models. Also I know you said it wasn't intentional but I want to copy using the black steel fork. Looks very clean.

I totally agree - I prefer the look of the steel fork and crown with the straight head tube, and the ride quality is superb.

Thanks! I do believe that cycling is part style, part function. As an Eroica participant who loves the beauty of cycling, style is inevitably a criteria in any new build.

Thanks, as a 90s MTBer; this scratched an old itch. I really, really dig it. I lucked out and got a super deal just before the SHTF. But that burgundy bike, that's the special one - full custom, handmade by the guy on the Gunnar, right here in NYC.

I have another friend who also was an old school MTBer, who sees my Ritchey and digs it. Now I'm building up his, but with Campa Chorus. These new frames are electrostatically treated inside, which is a step up. Maxway must be offering this as a menu item, as new steel frames from various brands now have this.

2016 Diamondback Hannjo Trail. I've stuck with the Kenda tires it came with, they seem to roll well and grip just fine offroad. Bars have been swapped for a pair of Salsa Cowbellls. Might change to Cowchippers if I run across a pair.
Current project is a 2017 Surly Straggler frame in the mint green. Currently acquiring parts.

It's about 25 years old, but a pretty good flat-bar gravel bike (I also use it as my city bike and for towing the kid trailer, with slick tires). Best $100 I've spent on a bicycle. Seems to have sat in a garage unused for years before I bought it - the cables were rusty but the paint was in nearly perfect condition.

1996 Trek 930

early-mid 90s trek 9XX frames are super versatile. Great price for yours too!

My wife and my gravel grinders from before such a term existed...bought brand new in 1992...and just back from a gravel grind today. Used to love riding the fire roads of Marin and Alameda Counties and passing up the mountain bikes with the then becoming popular front suspensions...me with the funky moustache bars, full fenders, and a bell. Grant would have been proud.

I had the frame custom build in 2015 but recently had a new fork custom made and had it all custom painted. Tubing is Deda ZeroUno
