Hello new to bikes looking for info recommendations

Hi use to be into bikes a couple of years ago but let the passion kind of fade away. Want to get back into it. Mainly getting a vintage bike and fixing/upgrading it. Does any one have any recommendations on reading? Mainly about hardware and general info on components and what does what. Thanks.

I’d start with sheldonbrown.com. Then parktool.com. Then ”RJ the bike guy” on youtube.
