Any recommendations for a reasonable floor pump that will seat up tubeless tires? Joe Blow Booster and Topeak Pressure Overdrive seem like possibilities.

Take out the valve core, use a compressor. Much easier.

The majority of modern mtb setups will seat fine with a standard floor pump. I've got a Serfas something-or-other than has worked for all my tubeless MTB setups over the past 9 years. If you already have a standard floor pump, I would see if that works first.

I think either of the ones you mention (It is the Lenzyne Pressure Overdrive, right?) will easily do any MTB tire setup out there. I did not even realize those sorts of pumps were available. They seem like a good idea, but.............

.....if you already have a floor pump, I think for the price those things go for I would invest in an air compressor which has a lot more uses. I mean, at that price unless you plan on doing tubeless setups in places with no power, I am not sure I see the advantage of one of those pumps over a compressor. Or heck, just get an air tank and use your floor pump to pressurize it. Again, more other uses than with the pumps you mention.

Giant makes a reservoir that can be pumped up with a regular bike pump. I have one and use it to seat my tubeless road tires. I pump to 160 psi, then open the valve so all of the air rushes into the tire.

I have used this to re-inflate utility trailer tires (for automobile use) as it throws a whole bunch of air volume at once.

Cost from my local bike shop was $65.00

I have not needed to do any tires myself, however, a friend of mine who is very good with fixing bikes doesn't use any sort of fancy pump. With this said, it can take one long day or two days to get the tire completely sealed with your average 30$ floor pump.
