Ok to use Park PolyLube 1000 with Speedplay pedals?
Am I ok to use Park PolyLube 1000 to replace/relube the grease in Speedplay pedals?
If not, what do you recommend/suggest? Preferably an alternative to the Speedplay specific grease too. Thank you.

I've used Phil (another green grease) in my Speedplay Xs for a couple of decades with no known negative issues. Once again I will say that it's more about the periodic reinjection of a lube then what brand. Speedplays have little open internal space to store grease (and the grease is pushed away from the bearing tracks then feed into the bearings an "oil") so frequent grease injection is a good idea. I also used Phil Grease on Speedplay Frogs for years and averaged over 30,000 miles on each set before the bearing finally wore out. As Andy recommended, relube them frequently as this is more important than the brand of grease.

Even Speedplay pedals can't read. Give 'em some good grease (and Phil's a good grease), and they'll be happy.

Another follow-up question re: frequency.
Online they talk about 'spinning the pedal' to know if it needs grease or not. Is this how you go about determining when to grease the pedals, or are you doing it as a matter of KMs/Miles/time?
Also, I'm planning on using a syringe as I don't wish to shell out the cash for the lube specific gun. Cheers.

Im sure the Park grease is fine in its own right, but its never a good idea mixing more or less unknown greases. - > Imo, either pump a good amount of the new grease through the pedals to flush out the old or simply clean it out before regreasing.

A syringe won't produce enough pressure to get the grease in. You need a small gun with a pointy tip. Something like this:

I use park poly in my GF's speedplays all the time and its fine. I use the park tool grease gun because the tube threads straight into the gun for convenience.

Ok. I need a little help/guidance here. I bought a grease gun (see image below) and loaded it with Phil Wood grease.
After watching this video here:
I tried to lube the speedplay pedals this weekend except none of the grease came out the backend of the pedals. Instead the Phil Wood grease came squirting out the side front of the pedal where I was trying to push the grease through.
Any ideas? Is my grease gun not compatible? I was pushing with all my might on the pedals but still, no go.
