Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2013 Cannondale Supersix Team 54cm, Sram Force 22, Carbon Wheels

This is going to be my first lightweight bike and the most expensive bike I will purchase. This is a used bike on ebay and I am seriously considering it and want the people's advise to aid my decision. Here is the complete spec. Just selling cause i have no more time to ride.

The wheels are definitely knock-offs. He's honest about what they are, but they have big Campagnolo stickers on them. I'm also concerned the Handlebar and Stem are knockoffs too. They are badged 3T, but I don't know that 3T every made green logos (Cannondale had a deal with FSA for green parts). SInce he just says Carbon in the description and the fake Campy wheels, I am going to assume the bar and stem are also fake.

I'm also not convinced the frame is real since there is no Braze on mount for the FD. Rather it uses a clamp on FD. From other eBay listings, it looks like the Hi-Mod frames definitely have a braze on for the FD, but some of the other non-hi-mod listed frames have a clamp. Maybe someone with more knowledge of Cannodale's 2013 line up can confirm.

Regardless, I don't know that I'd pay much more than $1200 for that bike given the age and components.

I suspect it is not a team bike. Judging by the equipment and weight it looks like the Supersix Evo 2 Red (same color way, not Hi-Mod and lesser components). See the link for the 2013 catalog. I have no idea why anyone would downgrade the components on a team bike. I have a 2013 Supersix Evo Hi-Mod Red Racing. I'm running ENVE 3.4 SES tubulars with Veloflex Carbons, and FIZIK Cyrano 00 bars and stem with a FIZIK Cyrano carbon seat post. Complete with Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals and Arundel carbon cages it weighs 6.1Kg. A team bike should be similar. Check it out carefully before you buy. The team bike should have Hi-Mod logos on the fork legs and seat stays. https://www.cannondale.com/-/media/f...d-2013_usa.pdf

Cannondale uses "Team" as a paint job option. It's not related to the componentry. As in this was the Liquigas team paint job.

The 2013 Supersix Evo Hi-Mod Team was district model with the Hi-Mod frame and higher level components. The Supersix Evo 2 Red was a non Hi-Mod model with the team color way and lower level components. Don't believe me - check the catalog.
