Manitou Markhor suspension fork

Hello everyone! So, the 2007 SID Team on my hardtail is absolutely wasted and I am looking into low budget suspension forks and rigid forks, too. I've already made up my mind about what rigid fork I would love to get, but still I am looking at suspension forks, particularly, Manitou Markhor. I ride an old Giant hardtail with a straight 1-1/8" steerer and 26" wheels. Has anyone of you tried these forks for XC and MTB marathon riding? Maybe someone has upgraded their old and tired MTB with these forks? I would love to hear about your experience.
