So, I buy a Soma Sandworm frame...
...mate it with the Surly Krampus fork I have, and have two wheelsets, a 26"+ and a 29"+ wheelset for it. What's wrong, if anything, with this one-frame-two-wheelset approach?

There is a significant difference in diameter between 26+ And 29+ tires. So the 29+ may not fit on the frame, or the BB may be too low with the 26+ (or too high with 29+)

Front fork will be too tall? What is the A-C spec for the frame. Will the krampus fork fit a 26 x 4.00 -5" tire? Me thinks not. Get a fat fork?

Soma specs the frame up to 29x3.0, same spec as the Krampus fork. Soma also specs the frame up to 26x4.0. Obviuosly the 26" wheelset would need much wider rims and tires than its 29" counterpart.

My calculations show that a 26" wheel with a 4.0" tire has a radius of about 38cm while the Krampus axle-to-crown dimension is 48cm, so we are all good as far as that goes too.

You are mixing parts and specs. A 26x4.8 tire will not fit in a 29er x 3" space. Are you looking to only run a 29 x 3 and not fat? What you want to measure is the A-C spec on the sandworm frame. Seems the krampus fork will be too tall and result in handling issues. Check with sandworm.

Once again, the Krampus fork, A-C and all, is within the specs recommended by Soma.

You posted it in the fat bike forum? Not the plus bike forum. Carry on.

The sandworm frame should fit 29x2.6 tires correct? Considering it can fit 29x3.0.
I'm considering this bike because of its versatility in tire sizes, steel frame, and as my one bike mountain bike
