Chain slipping on e-bike
I have accustom build e-bike with a 8 speed hub drive so a single cog on the rear wheel with chain tensioner. When I put it under load for example tacking off from a stop sign the chain will slip. The chain is not stretched and the teeth on both front and rear chain rings are fine. I do not know how to fix this. Maybe a different chain?. Another thought is setting up a belt drive system but do not have a clue what is involved? Any help appreciated

Stronger spring in the tension system might alleviate the problem and a narrow/wide chainring could help. Doubt that a belt will solve the problem and belt-drive requires that the frame has a "break" in order to install as well as other challenges.

I don't understand how that will slip. Is it slipping at the rear cog? How many teeth are in the cog? Does the chain really match the drive train? I would take it to a LBS. I'll put 1000w through my legs into a single speed drive train (49x14) and never slip. The only way I can see this being a problem is if there is a problem with your chain compatibility to the cog (unless you have some kind of tension issue).

I have a belt drive on one of my bikes (not an e-bike). The belt slips once in a while under heavy acceleration, so I don't think that would solve your problem.

chain line maybe? Otherwise it's either tension or wear
it occurs to me that you could be using a 1/8" chain on a 3/32" component, but I feel like that should be ok.
