Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

zipp 1080 / 808 wow!!!

what do you guys think... overkill on the wheels unless i'm holding 27+mph constantly. haha.

they're actually for a p2c that i'm building up, but i just couldn't resist popping them on the road bike. definitely feel like i can go hunting for some tri-geeks out on road with these wheels. looks alone = money well spent IMHO.

The wheels look sick.

The bar tape looks sick in a different meaning.

Sweet. I would have gone for the 808/404 combo just so you could use them on your roadie too.

i was really contemplating a 606 set up for dual use, but i got a pretty good deal on these wheels at $1,500 brand stinking new... besides if you go as deep as possible, you'll never have to wonder what if.

re: bar tape. haha... i've long stopped trying to keep white bar tape white, if anything, its a good indicator that the bike is being ridden or perhaps a good deterrent to a potential bike thief without gloves??

One thing that has worked reasonably well for me (although mine are not that dirty) is regular rubbing alcohol (isopropyl).

Those are awesome wheels on an equally awesome bike. Now get them off the road bike and onto a proper time machine...

That's GREAT paint on your Colnago. Two-thumbs up.

I vote that you don't let your P2C have all the fun - make it share those wheels with your 'nago!
