Hello does anyone try to order from taobao(china store) outside the china? I am planning to order dahon curl i4/i8 but here in my region(UAE) does not sell. Have someone tried to order in this popular site? Thank you

for gringos, as most of we are, you need to hire an taobao agent to provide an china adress and receive and repack the bike for you.
search for taobao agent on foruns. the price for courrier and for custons tax will hit you heavily through courrier

i only buyed once and i went throught taobaofocus agent.

so, the bottonline is for a bike is not an smartmove in many many most of cases.
it would be more cost efective to buy an airplane ticket to beijing or shezen and buy and many itens as you want

I used the services of taobaoring that got rebranded into 42agent as they widened their offer to JD.com etc. It all went pretty smoothly.

You have to use an agent, like Superbuy. I built up a folding bike part by part using Taobao and I consider it overall to be a success. There was one hiccup where I had to cut my loss on a part that was probably fake and didn't fit. The agents do NOT know how to inspect a bike for damage, etc so you're taking a gamble.

This indeed solves the first set of problems of buying in person: finding a physical shop that is current, at easily reached location, with foreseeable stock.
