I just bought a purple '89 today for $75 and it's in good condition, except for the original right thumb shifter is broken, but the seller had put replacement levers/shifters on.

I bought a 1988 6500 in Philadelphia for $175. That was in late 2016. Full Deore and in nice shape but cosmetically challenged. I don't consider that a great deal but it's the bike I was looking for so I got it.
