1983 Trek

Hello all! I'm going to look at a Trek Multitrack tomorrow. From what I can tell at this point, it appears to be a 1983 (I'll confirm this when I see it). It's a 21 speed, women's bike that's been kept in storage for the last 30+ years. It's all original and, aside from a little rust on the chain, appears to be in great shape. Any thoughts on what it might be worth? Thanks!

*I'm new here and can't post photos yet...sorry.*

If its a multi-track, its likely newer. Late 80's or 90's is when I believe the multi-track line began. They multitrack is one my favorite Trek series. Relaxed, good frames, and quality commuters/light tourers. Does the frame vaguely look like the one attached? I converted it to a drop bar tourer, so just about everything but the frame is different.

If you find an on-line image of a bike similar to yours you may be able to cut and paste the image into a post. ?

The Multi Tracks I've seen are 1990's hybrids. Decent bikes. $125 - $150 in my area might get a response on CL.

I also had an old-ish Trek (1400) and loved it. I did sell it so, that someone else could enjoy.
Post up pics when you can.

Try looking for 720, 730, 750, 790. The higher number usually means a better frame and components. There was alot of variation between years, so many had the same frame, just different components. I believe the 700 started as HiTen steel (the worst), but was Cro-Mo later on (better). The 750 and higher were always double-butted as far as I know.

Thanks...I've tried to find a similar bike photo to cut/paste but I haven't been able to locate one yet. I'll keep looking...

I think that is closer to mid ‘90s. Judging from the chain it looks like it needs a good cleaning, lube and tuneup and maybe overhaul the bearings. I wouldn’t want to pay more than $75-100 for it, if I was looking for bike

Thanks for the response! I picked it up for $50. Started cleaning it up yesterday...it's looking pretty good so far.
