Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Made my own phone mount for Evo Shift

I had a couple of bits leftover from the Zepal light kits I had purchased. I took the rear light mount, and the extra front light dovetail for this "conversion". I used Sil-Bond and attached the dovetail to the bottom of my phone, mounted the rear light bracket to the handlebars, and the phone slides right on. There is a locking tab designed for the blinky light that just so happens to lock into the screw hole for the dovetail mount.
I have been walking around the house holding the mount that I have glued to the phone, shaking it, tapping on it, pulling on it at various strengths and it is holding very well so far. I am going to road test it in the neighborhood here in a bit if the rains from this tropical storm will hold off. Let y'all know how it works out.
The dovetail isn't the most "sightly" thing to be glued to the back of the phone off the bike, but otherwise is well less than half the size of any other mount I have found aside from specialty ones made for iPhones. The wife was giving me a hard time about it, saying "you are off the bike more than on, isn't that going to bother you?"
I said "not any more"....lol, I have a new bike to ride.
