I love this version of her speech. Now in this format what she says is true

Good for her, I encourage young people to become passionate about something of substance.

Now I'm gonna go to the window, remote start my truck, let it warm up, then drive three blocks to the restaurant in town. That's how I dare

That's a great find! After she finishes with the climate activism schtick she'll change careers and become the front-person for a Swedish death metal band.

I love her strength and her perseverance especially with being so young. climate change is a serious matter and she presents it as such....and in the face of detractors without blinking!

and i like this better

eta....i'd also love to read the journals she's been writing since her involvement!!!

Check the posting date on that, it's about a year old, and it's a PARODY.

Nothin' like picking on public figures for entertainment. "Greta" at 5:15 in the clip below.

Have fun, y'all. Life's too short.

Greta Thunberg loves the metal parody of her speech, she approves. The band that did the parody is selling the clip and donating the money to Green Peace. The metal band out of NY supports her viewpoint and the metal version reaches a part of the population that otherwise would never pay attention. She is cool with it so there is no problem. Plus she is one bad azz metal teen girl in the video.

Well look at that. Happened three months ago, too. I'm such a curmudgeon that I had my social networks turned off. Oh wait, I don't have any social networks.

Steel and aluminum do their share as well. But.. their utilization offsets a good deal also. Sounds like a good doctoral study for some post-grad student.

Carbon fiber reclamation and recycling is a fairly new process and it’s production is more energy intensive than steel….but yes, bicycles are many many times cleaner than making and especially using cars and any bicycle is the absolute lowest use of energy in manufacturing and use per mile across its life compared to other forms of normal transport, even adding in the food production and transportation energy (even more so if bought responsibly) needed to keep the body fueled.....and there are bamboo and especially used bikes for those like 1979schwinn
