Its a 2016 Norco hybrid.
there are two threaded holes on either side of the frame near the rear axle.
I think they are for a carrier rack or fender. What size screw fits them?

Tnx

Most likely as said. But some frames do use 6mmx1mmpt. Easy to discern which as most all bottle bosses are M5x.8 and if your bike has them remove one and test fit. Andy

Well poop. If I read it right its metric.
Only standard screws where I am.

I wanted to build one of those safety flags on a flexible shaft.
Car and truck drivers are passing me in curves and intersections.
they come awfully darn close.😶

A good hardware store or bike shop will have metric screws, here in the states that would be ACE Hardware, Home Depot or Lowe's. Can't say what it would be in Canada

Unless you live WAY back-of-beyond, any decent hardware store, home store or auto parts store will have metric bolts. Even "American" cars use them these days. M5x.8 is a very common metric bolt size.

All the fasteners on your modern bike are metric. If you have any imperial fassterners or tools then you are risking damaging threads or fasteners and getting into a bigger hassle.

Canada has been using the metric system for almost 50 years any decent hardware store will have metric bolts

Yes they would but I am in a small town.
If I want four I would have to buy fifty.
I did get a short length of 10.24 threaded rod.
It screws in well about three turns then starts to hang up.
I don't want to put much more force as steel rod can make its own threads into aluminum.
Its already screwed out some the paint that coats the hole.

Now that is telling and helpful.
I do have a short 10.24 threaded rod.
It goes about three turns and starts to hang up.
Now with your info it makes sense 24 instead of 32 will try to screw in.
But as its a slightly coarser thread it will hang up.
The upside of this non-conumdrum is I get to make my own gear.
The slight trials and tribulations along the road are just part of the fun.😉

That is very nice of you to want to send me screws.
Let me work on it for a few days.
If that doesn't work out I will take you up on that kind offer.😉

To be frank I worked construction installing state of the art electronics including their electrical boxes and never saw a metric screw in the tens of thousands I used. Canada may have the metric system but at least my part of the construction industry has been slow to catch up.
