The War Department is at it again (she was here when Kori brought the new Masi fame and fork this morning)! This is the one that limped in yesterday in need of a a pair of wheels, tires, cassette, and seat post with seat. I offered it to aircraftblues who says he is looking for a bike, but have had no response. So here it is to anyone that wants it for cost of shipping. If no takers, it is going to get parted out and scrapped. This one is "in search of a new home" .
As you can see it is disc brake, so the wheels will need to be sourced if you don't already have them. Smiles, MH

I'm restoring a middling 70's French 10-speed and hoping to find some replacement and upgrade parts.I've dressed it up with some parts and looking to do more. Seeking:
Dust cap crown nut for 70's Lyotard Berthet pedals or good used or NOS pedals
Alloy/lighter weight seat post to replace the original steel. 25mm dia
Alloy/lighter weight handlebars to replace steel. Existing bars are 25mm dia at center attachment to stem, quickly tapering to 23mm overall. If I need to replace the stem to accommodate the replacement bars, the stem diameter appears to be a sniff under 22mm.
I saw some likely Motobecane bars on ebay but I'd like to deal within the forum community for all of the less risk and friendlier reasons. If anyone can help, thanks!

These came off a 1976 Motobecane Mixte and they are in really good condition.

So that would include the 543, the Record 60, maybe even one of the Juy series from the 50's, but not the chainstay mounted ones. If you have a Record 60, there's a guy in the UK asking 2100 euro for one. So I wouldn't want to pay more than that.

Looking for a LEFT Shimano 200GS thumbshifter. I built a bike for a friend but the store I got the 7-speed index 200GS thumbshifters only had the right shifter so I used two of them with the one on the left being used in friction mode. He likes symmetry and wants his cable to go over the front of the handlebar like the right shifter does.
It's to match this right shifter.

Anyone using Wilderness Trail Bike grease guard hubs?
I have this set of WTB shims for adjusting freeplay, front hub I think. My WTB hubs (which were great hubs) are long gone.

Stronglight 122 BCD chainring trade
I think I tried this trade once before, but maybe I dreamed it.
I have a pristine NOS 46-tooth Stronglight 122 BCD chainring with factory drilling. It would be functional on my Model 93 crankset, but it's not the Model 93 style--it would be correct on the later 104/105 cranks, I believe. Ten years ago I would probably have just bolted it on and not worried about it. But it seems like a shame to do that when there's probably a well-used Model 93 ring of the same size somewhere. Since that would meet my needs, it would make more sense to get this NOS ring to someone who would value its NOSness.
Summing up: looking for a 46 tooth--or better yet, a 47-tooth--Model 93 chainring, in at least good condition. Offering my NOS 46-tooth ring in exchange.

I got a pair of toe-clips from another forums member for my Shimano N600 pedals. Unfortunately I don't have the cleat plates that go on top of the toe-clips. I thought my spare set of pedals had them but they don't. Do any of you have a pair of these plates you don't want? They can be from Shimano Dura Ace EX, Shimano 600 Ax or Dura Ace AX pedals. Here's an image of the toe-clip plate I need two of.

While those are some good looking DT shifters and would certainly handle the shifting duty required, and I'm not going to pass up on them if brifters or bar-ends don't appear, I would like to wait a couple days to see if there are some out there. I feel better if my wife doesn't have to take her hands off the bars to shift.
