Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm not entirely unconvinced that it's not on backwards. After some crummy MSPaint work, I got it to almost look right with the fork the other way. Can the brake can be mounted on either side of the fork.

I actually had to look up NSFW, but thanks for the compliment! The ride is incredible actually. It's a pure racer, no two ways about it.

As for the fork: I like the looks of ot, but I can see why it's the most talked about feature of the bike. And no, it's not on backwards...

Have you had that bike fit yet? It looks set up a bit odd, but if it fits go with it.

^ wouldn't the logo be 1/2 backward anyway if the fork was flipped around the other way? It's definitely right, just looks odd.

Nice TCR!

Isn't the saddle too far forward?
What size is it?
Might be a good idea to center the saddle a bit, and make the necessary stem adjustments.

Again, nice TCR!

Adjust the saddle for the best pedaling motion. It depends on your leg dimentions and it's not always going to be centered. Stem is for reach after saddle is adjusted correctly.

Gotten many miles on the MicroShift? How do you like it?

I got my Guerciotti yesterday. I still need to get the brakes, post, dog fang, and tires for it, then I need to decide whether I put my leftover Force on it, or my leftover 6700.
I know that country of manufacture isn't important, but that "Made in Italy" decal is pretty cool.

Nice bike, however the setup appears all wrong.

My thoughts too on the Stevens. Pretty bike, just looks like the top tube angle wasn't well thought out for multiple frame sizes and they're stuck with a mold.

Very nice bike. Although how much higher can you go with the stem even if you wanted to? - may as well cut it and pretty things up.

I don't think he was trying to be a jerk, actually. Looks like your seat needs to be moved back, unless you have exceedingly short femurs. Start with KOPS and go from there. Also, it looks like your bars are rotated up a bit. As someone else said, go with whats comfortable for you; to me, though, that bike looks almost unrideable in its current configuration.

Either way, sweet bike, and enjoy

I didn't think he was being a jerk, just wanted to hear his reasoning.

I'm not an engineer or expert on BMCs but I'm guessing the seat stays are bonded so low on the seat tube to increase rear end stiffness.
