Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

ummm dude, you sig is awesome

anyway, i can do cx mount and dismounts to a run on my road bike, but it is because i have praticed it. once i attempted it on my fixie and got my calf eaten alive by the still spinning pedal, been sticking to the over the front and the over the back dismount since then.

and when i am feeling frisky or it is someone elses bike jog with only the rear wheel on the ground hold the bike and drop it forward like is is coming down from a wheelie and mount it that way. not a quick mount. but it looks cool.
