Dear fixxy rida'...
Do yourself and others a favor and get a real goddamn light! Your Knog ain't cuttin' it 'bro'! After almost T-boning your dumb ass tonight on my tour MTB with full racks and a load coming home, it was you who would have been hurt, BAD! I outweigh you and my bike alone is pushing 40lbs unloaded...you would have been hurt and I would have been pissed! But you run a big chance of getting mowed down. Maybe not by me but by someone who didn't see your roachey little light. New batteries would be nice too...maybe one with more power than a watch battery?
Since I'm ranting, how about taking your 'whip' farther than just the same 5 square miles? Denver is flat. Enjoy it! I won't mind riding with you and we would likely take the MUP ('cause they are nice here, we're spoiled) out to Chatfield/Cherry Creek/ Morrison or SOMEthing! Get out of the city for gods sake! An easy 30-40 mile round trip...
Normally, I could care less what you do but even I would have felt bad bending you and your bike when it was so easy to avoid...
If your local, keep an eye out for the gorilla on the fixed Panasonic conversion...with lights.

+1 on get some lights.
But hey, some of us aren't in the physical shape to be riding that far, but we're working on it, ok?

just calling it like it is.
getting on the internet and whining about how you almost bumped into something is pretty lame.
"no offense"

Not that it matters, but most of the people I see riding without lights on their bikes are riding mountain bikes. I only mention this because I somehow sense that the poster is targeting fixed gear riders.

I agree with the OP. Get some real ******** lights. Those frog knog things are just BS. When in use an opposing driver/rider sees "something" but you can't tell what or where the damn thing is. It is literally one point of light.

A real legit REAR light to get is a Superflash. A front... either get 10 Knog Frogs, THe Knog beetle seems bright but I know there are other great front lights in the market

moving target
there should be a coalition of epileptic fixie riders against rear super flashes.

ahhh...
Good morning!
Let see..A couple things here.
Yes I was riding my MTB last night. No sidewalk. Way to assume fellas. Notice the Touring set-up mentioned? I guess 'full racks' wasn't specific enough...
spooki: really? your 'that guy' eh? I'll keep that in mind. Also, your reading comprehenson was a bit weak. I didn't bump, I was concerned about t-boning a fashion *****.
solbrothers: yeah, I was going to put this in CL but thought I'd get better feed back here rather than tossing it into the fray and diluting whatever conversation comes with car drivers who think we are ALL in the way and should just die and get out of the F-in'! way. Good catch!
darkside: I AM targeting fixed rides! Like the knogFrog, I came to the demographic I choose to address. Notice Panasonic Conversion mention? I'm also a fixed rider. So no hate. Just disgust with fashion *****s.
Carlton, COurt and K phomma: Thanks. And I love my superFlashes. I would hate to be riding behind someone with one but that is the trade off. Ride faster is another...
Illspecialist: yeup! I was pissed at the time. Ranted. Over it now.
Geordi Laforge: Ska thanks but some reggae is fine by me...

i feel like you dont really need a light to see in philadelphia as much as a light to be seen. is there any good omnidirectional light for being seen? ive been considering the superflash blaze package or even two superflashes, but i wonder if theres any do all light. id be willing to helmet mount, haha.

Why don't you watch where you're going? Pedestrians don't usually have lights, and neither do trees, or signs. If you need something to have a lot of lights so you can avoid it, maybe you shouldn't be on the road.
