Paid $100 for it. Can't find out exactly what year it is though. Guy said he bought it new 3 years ago but none of the pictures I'm finding look right.

That looks like a 2007 Hardrock Sport. Google it.

It's a 2006 HardRock Comp

Definitely. I don't even ride MTB's, but looking at that one makes me want to take it for a spin. Far more durable than a dept store bike. That was a $600 bike brand new, and it looks like it's in good shape.

That is a 2002 or 2003 model. In 2004 the Hardrock Comp model went disc. 2003 was also the last year they used the Judy TT with the rubber boots on the stanchions.
2002 Hardrock Comp
2003 Hardrock Comp
2004 Hardrock Comp

Nonetheless, IF it is lightly used, and everything is in good working order, $100 is a great price to get in the door. The only issue with that bike IMO is the fork. Judys were was crap even in 2003 and they did not last long. I would be very surprised if it still does anything. But for $100, it is still a good deal, and $150 can get you a new fork that is better than the Judy ever was.

Ten times better than a $100 Walmart bike, just be careful if there is water, rim brakes can be unexpectedly not there when they get wet. I recommend getting some dual compound brake pads. I put the Kool-Stop mountain pads on my wife's bike with rim brakes. They seem to work pretty well.

Its a 2003 based off the hardrock comp logo on it. I only gave it a few spins around the parking lot and I don't know anything about mountain bikes but they still seemed like they had some life in them

It's a good price for a starter bike... buy since it's an older bike, check to make sure everything is in good running condition.
