Brooks Cambium C17 or Carved ?
I am looking to get a new saddle for my All City Space Horse and was wondering if Clydes prefer the regular cambium or carved. I am 6'1" and weigh 260 lbs. With my weight, my concern for the carved saddle would be having too much of a bouncy effect for lack of a better word. Your opinions please.

I have the cambium saddle. I weighed 376 when I purchased it. I weigh under 320 currently. If I was someone who needed relief from rubbing my privates on a bicycle seat I would purchase a carved. That hole looks extensive and I like durability. When I get down to 250 lbs I plan on going back to a leather Brooks seat Probably the Pro.

Buy the CARVED. Cambium is basically as broken in as it is going to get when you buy it, and bouncy is the last thing I'd call my C-17 CARVED.
I'm 6'0" and was at your weight when I bought mine. I'm 240 now. The cutout is very unlikely to lessen the saddle's durability, but very likely to increase your physical durability.
Your perineum will thank you.

at 6'2" and currently 290lb (down from 350) I can tell you the carved c-17 won't bounce.
On my second bike I have a leather B-17 (not carved) and it's great. I prefer it to the C-17 I think, but sometimes I think maybe the carved would be preferable.
