Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shoe cover suggestion

My old Specialized cover finally fell apart. Any suggestions on new ones. Looking for warmth and water resistance.

Someone had posted a neoprene type cover that slid over the shoe that was inexpensive and looked like it would work. The only knock was that it was somewhat fragile.

Performance Bike has a wide selection and may be an option for you.

I use the performance ones but I suspect any are fine. Hard to mess up a shoe cover. Make sure size is right and the cutout for your cleat matches up with the sole.

AerotechDesign covers
They're affordable, and work for me. I wear a size 10 shoe, and the large is a snug fit (Neoprene shoe covers).

Gore shoe covers. They are pricey, but very durable. For warmth, find a thin neoprene boot like Castelli Deluvios and than buy an outer she'll a size larger. That will keep your feet warm into the low 30°.

I have cold feet and just purchased the Aerotech Designs $30 yellow shoe covers. They should arrive soon. The complaints on most of the shoe cover reviews is that they are not water proof. Yes, neoprene is for warmth, not dryness.
