C&V Parking Only (steel @ the workplace)
In the nine months of working at this particular restaurant, I believe this is the first day that the three of us who ride vintage steel all happened to bike to work on the same day.
Our dry storage room looks rather appealing this morning...
Do you have any similar such workplace scenarios to share?

Of the 650 people at my plant, there are a mere 2 regular riders. Me with an off-topic aluminum fixed-gear and my co-worker with either a PX-10 or lugged Colnago. We do get the occasional big-box suspension mountain bike and last summer an intern had a brand new hipster Cinelli Vigorelli fixed gear. No front brake and he couldn't ride worth a crap. God forbid, but wouldn't surprise me if he were in a full body cast.

Is that the original paint? Considering the difficulty of sticking paint on chrome, I'm assuming it is....
Very cool! It's not Lagoon Blue, but still very cool!
Also loving the Stronglight 93 with the chainguard that was OE on so many Gran Sport variations.

I work on a college campus, so I see a pretty wide variety of bikes, some of which are C&V. This one in the middle of the pic is not old, but I thought the built-in bottle holder was worth a pic. My '73 Raleigh Competition (since sold) is in the foreground.

Answers here.
So glad that the bike is getting lots of love and use.
Have you done anything to protect the presumably fragile paint? It appears to be doing just fine.

Good eye btw! The upper rack is an early Jim Blackburn, while the lowriders are later stuff. You might recognize the bottle cage which I’m still indebted for.

Superbe is sittin’ pretty. And clean! I also can’t help but notice that that outdoor parking area is appropriately hospital clean.

Glad you’ve got indoor parking for that beauty!

I'm the only person out of the twelve at my current workplace that has ever ridden to work in the six-and-a-half years that I've been there. BTW, I'm also the oldest at almost 62.
It is 12.5 miles each way for me, and I strive to make it in under 45 minutes. That makes it faster than 16.5mph for an average speed -- including the time sitting at stoplights! Riding speed is actually closer to 20. Not bad for a Senior near-Clyde riding vintage Steel.
'75 Fuji S-10S
And my newest road bike, the '86 Miyata 710
Note that I park my bikes indoors, in the loading dock area.
Nobody cares that I do, either.

Thanks Kurt! And I totally get it... I’ve had a few nice bikes, but this one I think, classifies as my first “love.”

Here's my group at my place of business. When not displaying, one is in my office, two hanging in the main room and one hanging in another room.
