N+1 strikes the petflunky household today

So, a year or so ago, I gave my beloved Raleigh M-30 mountain bike to my sons friend. His bike was dead, and I decided to do a good deed and give it to him, since I wasn't using it, and he needed transportation. Well, he had it for a month or so, and stripped the crank, causing the pedal to fall off. So, being the nice guy I am, I bought new pedals, and asked my father-in-law fo weld and tap the crank for me. That worked for a while, then it broke again.
Anyway, the kid started driving a few month ago, and mentioned to my son he may be getting rid of the bike. So, I told my son, if he gets rid of it, I'd like it back.
So, guess who called today? Now all I need to do is get a new crank set for it, and it will be ready to go, woo-hoo!

Oh, I am giving the kid a good used computer as a trade. I figured that was a fair trade.

Let me get this straight. You are giving the kid a good used computer as a trade for returning the bike you gave him, and attempted to fix for him at your expense. You are very generous sir.

He's a good kid. And it gets an unused computer put to use. so I don't have a problem with it.

Well, I bought a decent department store mountain bike that I really liked. So, since this kids bike was trashed (he had it for several years, outgrew it, and was still riding it), I decided to give him my old bike. So that's why I got rid of it.

After realizing that I still really liked the bike, being the first "real" bike I owned I did have a bit of remorse about giving it to him, especially since he broke it.
Keep in mind, I did not ask for it back. He gave it back. He did mention to my son he was thinking of getting rid of it. I just asked my son to drop a hint that I'd like to be first in line when he gets rid of it.

Anyway, here is a picture of it.
