Looks like we have a concensus for Aug. 7th. That works for me.
Here is a satellite view from Google Maps of the area for those not familiar with it.
The meeting point will be the parking lot east of Andiamos Restaurant on US 12/Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. (Highlited in green on the map.) This lot is public parking and can get full on Saturdays.
The parking lot on the west side is valet parking for Andiamos and not available. (Highlited in red.)
Just west of Andiamos is a Quality Inn that is closed for renovation, extra parking is available there. (Highlited in blue.)

What time should we plan on?
Should we scout possibilities for lunch or burn that bridge when we come to it?

Also, do we have a meeting time? And to confirm? 40 to 45 miles - mostly flat with one (sorta bad) hill?
May I suggest starting a new thread, with a good title, giving the info bout the ride, when, where, miles, no drop, etc... Speaking for myself - you may wish to state that this is a slower *casual* ride with no 'SAG' - just some of the herd getting together with a few skinny people (for color)

For those of us coming from out of the area, could we get either a full cross street with city and zipcode, or LAT and LONG? (Perhaps the full address for Andiamos Restaurant?) GPS is great, but only if you have good info

I sometimes forget that not everyone is familiar with the area history.
As MIH-Dave mentioned the meeting point is down the road from Ford World Headquarters.
It is also across the street from the back fence of Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Henry_Ford
The path runs for a ways along side the fence around Fair Lane, the original Henry Ford estate which is open for tours.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Lane
US 12 was the main highway between Detroit and Chicago before the construction of the interstate freeway system.

Whatever time people decide is fine by me. 0700 to 1100 for a start time (cooler temps) would be my vote - but again, just let me know the 'when' - I already know the where
I do suggest starting a fresh thread with a good heading once the details are decided, as it may get more people to come
