Is there a gravel bike with chainstay max 430 mm and clearance for 700x50c tire?
When i look at my jamis renegade exploit bike i see length just enough to fit 50c tire. But the width is not enough for sure. I have found bombtrack Hook ext carbon which takes even 52c 700 tire but has 435 mm chainstay. I wonder if 50c could possibly work with limitations of 430 chainstay?

I am just interested in bike frame limitations. My personal choice is to go with even wider 650b tire but during my research i started to wonder why is that new generation of gravel bikes improved tire clearance for 650b but 700c is still usually limited to 45c.

The limitation of how wide the chainstays can be behind the bb is interference with the chainrings. The farther back you go, the more clearance you have. Just look at how your chainstay hugs the chainrings.

Because the part of the chainstay that needs to clear a 650b tire is farther back from the bb than the part that needs to clear a 700c tire.

Diamondback has a 430mm chainstay on a few of their Haanjo AL frames and the Haanjo 7C frame. I am fairly sure there is clearance for a 50c tire. I think the tightest point would be the seat tube.

My "gravel" bike is a Trek 1120, and I have the stock 29x3 Chupacabra tires. I use my Jamis Renegade Expert as my regular road and light touring bike, running 700x40 Schwalbe Dureme tires. I found myself on an Alaskan gravel road while riding the Jamis, and I survived a spill on it without breaking any bones. When the 1120 came out, I bought one and love it. Different tools for different tasks. I read about people riding 700x32 or skinnier tires on gravel. I don't think they ride the same gravel that I ride.

The chainstay on the Trek 1120 is 440 mm, exceeding the 430 mm maximum requested by the OP. I still don't completely understand his want for these specs, but that is what he asked for.

Granted, it is only one of many factors. I’ll give him/her the benefit of the doubt that he/ahe is considering them as well.

As mentioned, chainring clearance is a common reason for limiting tire width when a chainstay is 430 or so.
basically, longer chainstay means wider tire since the chainrings dont interfere where the chainstay needs to curve outward.
some designs replace the chainstay with a welded flat piece of metal to allow for more clearance. Surly is one company that does this.
some designs drop the driveside chainstay to gain tire clearance while avoiding chainring interference.
...or just ride 435 and dont think twice about .5mm since that is just so insignificant.

Now there is - new Devinci Hatchet. But to be honest I am not that much into this bigger tire clearance any more after I tested the benefits of going big on my current Jamis Renegade Exploit bike. I managed to put a GravelKing Sk 700x50c on my AlexRims 17 mm inner width rims. See how it all went on my website: https://gravelbikes.cc/tests/the-big...700x50c-tires/
