A Few More Cycle Oregon Pics-Finished!!!

Another truly epic experience!!! 3 days of wet and cold, thick ice on the tent in La Pine, more steep long climbs than ANY tour I’ve done.......but the best part was socializing with other cyclists of different ages from across the US. Those are the real stories and the ones I’ll truly cherish.

Today we stopped in Burns and spent a few minutes with Jackie and Sam who let me camp in their shaded backyard on Cycle Oregon 2013.

Tonight we we are spending the night in the Sawtooth Mountains In Idaho on the way back!

pictures in a few minutes

I think that thumbs up picture is from the spot where you can see 5 volcanoes?

It’s on the East Rim Rd about 2 miles from the Lodge.

When I did that route back in 2007 I woke up to ice on my tent in La Pine. A woman at a coffee shop in town told us it nearly snowed the week before.

My ex and I rode up there in 1992 and rented a cabin for the night. The next morning we rode to Grants pass, almost all downhill and freezing cold. We put on all of the shirts and jackets we had. At some point we stopped and she had a frosty moustache.
