Question about recalled Girls Trek MT220
I just purchased this bike used and then found out that it has probably been recalled while looking up more info on it. The recall was back in 2008 but when I called the Treks recall # I was told that the recall was still being honored and just needed to bring it into an authorized dealer.
Now for my question, the recall would give either $100 credit towards the purchase of a new bigger bike, or replace with another MT220. Since the MT220 is no longer made, would the only option be the $100 credit? I'll contact the seller also but its hard to tell if they will be willing to take it back. Thanks for any insight.
