Can I ride my bike out in the rain?
I got my bike but havent got the chance to ride it yet. Its snowing at above freezing so that will turn to rain. Should I ride it today in the snow? I got a computer to track my speed and I mounted a flashlight on it, are those waterproof?

You may have to put a small sandwich baggie over the computer.
Don't know about the flash light.

No. In an effort to go Green and save our blue planet, bike frames are now mfg using a mixture of Sodium Chloride and solid Sucrose. So if you ride out in the rain, your frame will eventually melt leaving you stranded. Best buy a Carbon bicycle. Those won't melt.

Nothing wrong with getting a bike wet- except for the problem of getting it clean again.
Water will take any lubricant away from vital parts of the bike that need to be lubricated like chains- cables and pivot points.
So clean the bike after the ride by washing off with soapy water- then polish and lube.
Riding in Snow is ok- providing you can keep it right side up.

Check the manual. All cyclocomputers I ever used were waterproof, bike lights too except for the MagicShine (battery). Flashlights are not all waterproof.

You want to avoid the white striping and manhole covers as they get kind of slick when wet. Wear a bright color for visibility. Rinse your bike off when you get home and lube your chain to extend it's service.

Every day a winding road
If you toured and you waited for a dry day, you would never get anywhere.

Riding in the rain is unlawful in 32 states, isn't it?

Sure you can ride in the rain. However what kind of bike do you have? Do you have fenders or is this a road bike? Do you have rain gear? Do you have something to cover your shoes in the slushy rain? That could make a big difference in what you think about the ride.

I got a cannondale touring bike and it has fenders on it. The tires are kind of skinny and are made for gravel roads and paved roads I think. I live on gravel roads.

City folk!
When my brother and I were given our first skates and dad cleared the snow off a patch of ice on the farm dugout, we tried our bikes on it first. Not for long, it was a bit tricky.
Someone mentioned fenders already and that would be the most important thing. Unpleasant when it's wet if you don't have them.
The icebike site has a nice story about a guy who went from Dawson to Nome in 1900, quite a long time before the first car. A Broken Chain and a Busted Pedal. Mostly snow that time I guess but I don't think of bikes being limited by weather at all.
