Note the tissue box in the first photo. Must mop up those tears of joy.

Sounds a killer in $'s Doesn't it? The front German A fork is €899 alone to buy as a component if building an off-road bike! At the beginning I said no way but then started adding up the value of the individual components. From the day I test rode the bike it was apparent it wasn't just an overpriced bike for people with more money than sense. It has an incredibly good ride and frame that suited me. I figured this bike would complement my Brommie and be very versatile. It looks like the government will take away the tax benefits of the Cycle to Work Scheme possibly in 2011 and I decided I only live once lol.
I have not rode it on a long commute or ride yet but absolutely no regrets and it is fast and capable bike. I don't see it be much slower than the Dahon Speed Pro TT. Despite the full suspension it is only 2kg heavier and has a great seating posture and handlebars. The wheels have double butted spokes and are far stronger than some previous Kinetix wheels used.

Thanks. Yes the colour scheme got me hook, line and sinker. I absolutely loved the design but underneath is some mean functionality. I've seen the preview from Brakemeister's trip to a bile show of the 2011 lineup and Dahon's styling and aesthetics get better by the year.

Time for a brief ride report comparing it with your Brommie and then another one after a longer run!

That is one nice piece of equipment.
Almost nicer than Connie's new Moulton claret which I can't stop drooling over every time I walk through the garage.
Now for the ride report or better, a proper review. I am curious about the travel on the forks; the early ones on the Jetstream were very stiff and didn't move more than e few mm.

I'm looking forward to it, mulleady. That's my favorite of the Dahon line.
