The guy at my LBS says this should be the last season for my studded tires, so I'll be getting a new pair of Nokian Hakkapillitas this year. I'll wait until spring, though, hoping for lower prices.

New clean bright bar tape, my riding partner is claiming my red bar tape is actually pink
Shoes, mine are a bit stretched out. Fine for fall/spring when I want to wear heavier socks but a bit sloppy in the summer.

I think Santa understands, but is having a very difficult time finding a full 9 speed group. Santa also says the economy has hit at the North Pole and the Campy 10 & 11 speed stuff are just too expensive right now.

There is a bunch of small stuff I "need", including brake pads and some tools. The big item is a Quarq power meter crankset. I've narrowed it down to the model (SRAM S975), but need to know which direction I'll be going when I get a real racing bike, because there are so many flavors of bottom brackets these days. Current bike is threaded, and I'd like to be able to swap the crankset between bikes as needed. But, I might just wait, get the Quarq when I get a new bike, and not use it with the current bike. That opens things up for bikes with BB30's and such.

I don't want anything for any of my bikes. It's bad. I have nothing to greedily acquire. However, I'm toying with the idea of a Great Divide Ride, and, of course, I'd need a new bike for that. I'm thinking a 29er hardtail with disc brakes. Santa?

After much deliberation and consideration I went with Psimet's. I have Williams carbon tubular 58's that I use for racing. I don't have a team sponsorship, so Zipp's were out of the question.
I was looking for a good all-around training wheel that I could also race in the Tuesday Night training races and some of my B - C races. The Pro+ PT will allow me to change the unit between bikes fairly easily. The wheel package includes:
Front=White Ind. H2 F Silver hub laced to a Kinlin XR-300 rim 24f/2X using DT-Comp-Black spokes and DT-12mm-Brass-Silver nipples
Rear=Pro + hub with Shimano freehub body laced to a Kinlin XR-300 rim 28r/2X using DT-Comp-Black spokes on the Drive Side and laced 2X using DT-Comp-Black spokes on the Non-Drive Side and DT-12mm-Brass-Silver nipples
With electropack

Sounds like a very practical and reliable build. I've debated between the Pro+ hub and the SL+ hub but the $400 for 60 grams is hard to justify. I can get a good deal on the Pro+ so I'll probably go with that laced to a DT Swiss rim using competition spokes. While I would love to have a super light event day wheelset with the PT it just doesn't make sense economically.
If someone is interested in a wired PT SL let me know.

Both my wife and I have a Quarq PM. I like it a lot and the Quarq customer service is excellent. The key point on using a power meter is that it provides objective feedback and reliable communication between a coach and athlete. Although, I still have to prepare a qualitative assessment of the ride describing in more old school terms how I felt during the workout. IMO, once one starts paying for third party coaching services and commits the time to training, the PM becomes more important.

Humm, well the utility/back up bike really could use a "wheel's and hubs upgrade" and a better crankset too.
Selling the MTB, so no wants there, (except a sale of course! )

Every Feb. is dream time, when new parts & things are made real. This year, it'll be a new h-bar, courier bag, some more tires, maybe even a headset.
My Dakar XLT has already outlived every car I ever owned, and I think it has a few more years, but I'm in the planning stages, and making a list.
For a complete bike, I could do a GT Force or a Sette Flite.
For a build-up, either the SC Nomad frame or the Salsa El Kaboing. Parts pick would vary some according to which one, but the constants would be Time pedals, RaceFace crank, SRAM X.9 or X.0 drivetrain, and BB7's. Azonic Outlaw wheels top the short wheel list, too.

I'd like to upgrade my Giant road bike to full Dura-Ace. But that's sort of pricey. I just picked up a used 03 Stumpjumper and I'' have some fun with that next year.

I am keeping my old Cannondale R500T for good but aI am seriously considering a new Cannondale CAAD series bike. I'd like a nice carbon fiber frame with at least Ultegra or SRAM Red components and maybe a set of nice Psimet Clyde rated wheels. It would be my bucket list final bike and I'd baby it and the R500T as keepers.
Sorry if my Cannondale obsession upsets anyone but I have always loved the ride and handling of all the 'Dales I have owned. Yes I am strange but then I volunteered for the Marines when I was a teenager and I still race MX on dirt bikes.

Even the replacement parts for the old motor don't always fit or provide full power. Sometimes the engine knocks, and I do believe the fuel injector is taking in too much fuel as the motor seems to be heavier than it used to be.
