1988 Fisher Montare
Nice Fisher Montare. I understand it to be a 1988. Full Deore XT. Cool rear brake under chain stays and matching stem. Good condition. Seat tube measures 18" center to center. More photos on my flickr site - https://www.flickr.com/photos/39670213@N06/. Asking $200

Could be an '87 but wow, all original. The first all XT production bike available to the masses I believe. I have the same frame and half the parts, I wish I could get my hands on yours. Great condition.

It's gorgeous and I'm glad its not my size. I'd have to sell something to make room (but probably wouldn't).

Thanks for comments. Was holding for my son, but he went through a growth spurt so it doesn't fit. It's in good condition and will clean up well. Hope someone can use it.

What is your location, @Force? It might help folks know if they're within driving distance from you, etc.

That's a good price on a very fine bike. Quality vintage MTBs are getting harder to find. I think the message is out that these are great bikes that make fine commuters, gravel grinders, and tourers.
