Hmmm, very interesting. I always figured they had nothing to do with each other whatsoever. Since the 80s/90s Araya Muddy Foxes looked nothing like the UK ones and the current Araya Muddy Foxes look nothing like the current UK ones.

Here's the current Araya Muddy Fox 26er

I think it looks like an OK buy provided you can make sure it is safe to ride yourself or willing to invest another $50 or so in a shop tuneup. You may also want to look for a co op where you can get some help to DYI it.

I think see Suntour Alpha 5000 which would mean a midlevlish bike from '87 or so. If it fits and your willing to do a bit of work or have it done then go for it.

I don't mind doing my own work. On my mtb I changed bb, front derraileur, cassette, chain, etc. Wrenching is not a problem since I work on cars for a living.

$63 for a 57x57cm!

Check your box length. If you have to take the fork off to get it to size.
Yes. You can check this online with any of the major carriers. The last two frames I shipped were $85 (a 63cm) and $40 (a 60cm). It's the sum of the dimensions that matters. Gomango is right: you'll need to take off the fork. When in doubt, make the box smaller. Those inches add up fast.

The magic number when shipping a bike via UPS or Fedex is 130. That's 130" max. for girth (around box) + length. If you exceed 130" you will pay a tremendous premium. For ex. say you ship a box that is 52" long, 30" high and 8" wide. Girth is 76" (30" + 8" + 30" + 8") added to length 52" gives you 128" so you would get a low rate. Exceed 130" and you pay double or triple! I've taken time to cut down a box 2" to stay under 130". Trust me, it's worth it.

I love this ad...

[h=2]mint green bianchi roadbike fierce af - $350 (brighton center)[/h]
got this here bianchi brava 1999 edition. its condition is as minty fresh as its color. youll be flying down the street breaking necks and unzipping american apparel hoodies everywhere you go. the hipster chicks will dig it. the hipster bros will be jealous. hell, most people will be. who wouldnt be jealous of a mean green pavement eating machine? seriously this bike is fast. it hungers for road usage and the blood of lesser bikes: will you be the one to deliver?

this bike has been extremely lightly used and well kept and it is time for this beast to hit the open road with someone who will take good care of her/it. as for specs, this bike has a 49 cm chrome moly frame. components were upgraded to suntour gpx but these were sparingly used. this is unconfirmed, but it is possible this bike will grant you superpowers. youll just have to see for yourself.

if you think youre ready to tame this mint maverick send me an email and we can talk pricing. im saying 350 for it here but i will accept suitable barter. mint green water bottle included free with your purchase of this demonic road bike.

It looks to be in fabulous condition but a '89 model is more like. If it was closer I would almost buy it for the GPX group.

Yes this is a repost for some of you but since it was on the bottom of the page I thought I might repost in case someone is looking but missed this.

Jubilee Sport anyone? Is this worth checking out at $245>

I know the brake levers aren't original but is the blue line and cranks?

In case someone is missing their posts, I just cleaned up a couple of posts discussing the dos and donts of For Sale ads.

To summarize, if you are selling (or are directly involved with someone selling) a bike, please upgrade your membership and place an ad in the C&V Sales forum. If you stumbled upon an interesting ebay/CL ad, feel free to post it here.

Any questions, please PM me. Thank you.

Ha! I didn't even read the ad to the bottom. The dog part is aggressive. The seller seems to have security issues that have been remedied by dogs.
