Rare early Eisentraut on SF Bay Area CL, 53cm, says it's original paint...have to look past some of the bizarre components to the beauty underneath.
$850 asking price, but remenmber; this is a classic

That's a really great shape older mixte bike that appears like it's new in condition. Problem with those is that they were heavy, but the chrome wheels didn't help matters in the weight department and could kill you if you rode it in the rain, so a new aluminum wheelset would definitely be on the shopping list for stuff to get for the bike. My wife would love that bike.

yup it's gone. I don't think it was a TX300 because the wheelbase appears in the photo to be a bit longer than other TX300's I looked at on the internet, but I could be wrong.

Bummer. I knew I should have picked it up. I spoke to the owner before I decided not to get it. It was an Ishiwata high-ten frame with a 70s Campy drivetrain and a mixed bag of 80s brakes and wheels.

Not that it matters now but for future reference, if it was the Ishiwata tubeset then it was a TX300 as another poster had mentioned, odd how a photo can change the perspective on frame geometry, it looked like a touring frame! This was a sport frame. The TX300 came from the factory with Suntour components so either someone bought this bike as a fame and fork and built it with Campy or at some point they converted over to Campy. Regardless it was a nice bike.

2 Raleigh Road Bicycles Large 531 Reynolds frames -$200

I have two well equipped Raleigh Gran Sport one-owner bikes from the 1970s. Both frames are butted 531 Reynolds tubing and the seat tubes measure 24 inches, about 61 cm, so they are for a tall rider. (I am 6' 1".) They are a year apart and have opposite paint. One is white with blue, the other blue with white. One has been my rain and bad weather bike (when I commuted to work). They have Phil Wood hubs and bottom brackets. These bearings are sealed and in perfect shape. The rain bike has Campy cranks, the other has Stronglight. Both bikes have computer speedometers and good gearing for useful transportation. The rain bike has a Halogen headlight and a taillight that are powered by a low rolling resistance Sanyo generator. The other Raleigh was used on my stationary trainer, available separately here on Craig's list. Both bikes have generic SPD pedals. Lots of spares, spare wheels, extra freewheels and chains and tires come with this package. I had collected all this with a lifetime of cycling in mind, but my health prevents further cycling. This is a very complete cycling package.

if my daughter were older I'd totally look into that. As it is (she's two), I looked at it for a couple of minutes and thought about whether or not I should get something like that and just save it for when she grows. I like the cranks with three locations for pedals (at least I think that's what the holes are, right?).

"Drool Inspiring" Kestrel Road Bike - $400 (Santa Barbara)
A friend of mine basically gave me this bike for my first triathlon a couple years ago and I have a new bike now so I am selling this one. I don't know what size it is, but I am 5'9" and my buddy was about the same maybe a little shorter.

I know nearly nothing about bikes but this one seems almost famous or something with people often stopping me on the street to ask about it, drool, and tell me what an amazing thing it is.

I think someone out there is really gonna want this bike I think, but who knows. I will post at $400 but if after a week or so I get no takers I will post at OBO.

What's going on there with the seatpost? Is that really bent up or what?

Yes, it is one of those bent seat posts that shortens the cockpit enabling a smaller person to ride an oversized bike. I've got to replace that post soon.

The bike appears to be the Kestrel KM40 and the TT bar was replaced by a drop bar. The bike has all Dura Ace 9 speed components in good shape. 650 Ksyrium Elite wheels.

Um, no. It's a tri post, designed to enable the far-forward tri/tt position on a bike that doesn't have a 78 degree seat angle.
