I use a propane smoker yes thats cheating. Around 45 minutes per pound. A small 3 pound tenderloin with an est pound of thick cut bacon. Usually about 4 hours at 225.

The American Cardiothorasic Surgery Association approves of this post. Keep in mind that two guys will shave your legs before the operation. Ask me how I know.

And massaging is MUCH easier with shaved legs. More significant in my experience than most other reasons.

Yes, not a heart healthy meal. In 2015 I had a hernia operation and once I was out they gave me a serious haircut.

When I was road racing, I shaved my legs out of tradition.

Now that I race gravel I have hairy legs.

It is both really. As with beards and long hair, shaving has been in favor and out of favor for variety of reasons (hygiene is an excellent "in" example) throughout history.

My reasons: tradition, road rash considerations, ease of applying sunscreen or embrocation. Also I hate the feel of the leg grippers pulling at hair.

But mostly vanity.

(whispers) "Vanity".

Me too, to an extent. But I think it's mainly trying to stay cool. I grow my hair out for these tough CA "winters", since shaved legs really suck on cold days, but they rock during heat waves. Also, as the poster above mentioned, leg grippers on shorts don't work at all on hairy legs.

i recall reading why in rolling stone mag in the late 80s, reason given was related to crashing as you mention but not due to bandages but rather to reduced bacterial infection because apparently bacteria get a better environment on hair follicles.

Leg shaving is a feminine trait. Real men don't shave their legs.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Both men and women have shaved (their entire bodies) on and off going back thousands of years. Also, would it surprise you to know that men have worn makeup for equally as long? You really should study more history wolfchld. Although I suspect you're being contentious.

These are my reasons for shaving my arms as well as legs. It's also easier to wash gnats off when they're not stuck in a bunch of hair.

scrotum

[skro´tum] the pouch that contains the testes and their accessory organs. It is composed of skin, the tunica dartos, fascia, and the tunica vaginalis testis. Each testis is connected to a cremaster muscledescending from the abdominal wall. During cold weather these muscles draw the testes closer to thebody to maintain their temperature, and in hot weather the reverse occurs; the scrotum usually followsthis movement. adj., adj scro´tal.

Of course it is so. My (joking) reply was aimed more at the implication that body hair on men is unaesthetic. Which, of course, also varies throughout cultures and time periods, but it's rather strange to see hairy legs considered unaesthetic in a time where hairy faces are all the rage.

Do your ears hang low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie 'em in a knot?
Can you tie 'em in a bow?
Can you throw 'em o'er your shoulder
Like a continental soldier?
Do your ears hang low?

😂How long do you keep bandages on? It’s the tape that sticks to the skin, you can still shave around the periphery, if your your hair grows that much in 6-12 hours.

Agree, it’s for the looks and for those guys who need to justify their manscaping.

I just stated shaving my legs last week. The mail reason I did was to cut down on the number of times I have hair pulls while riding and running in shorts/socks that have the impregnated retention bands.

I wouldn't suggest only shaving one leg. The decreased air resistance on one side of the bike will cause drift to the side with more resistance.
