Northern Canada doesn’t fit? Sounds like a great place to me. What are you looking for in trade?

Miyata Alumitech 6700 58cm

I have a Miyata Alumitech 6700 with full Shimano Sante. It’s a little large for me. I’m on the lookout for a 56cm Trek Elance (dark blue, including head tube), Miyata 914 with snakeskin paint, or a Trek 2300 or 2500 - the carbon composite tube version. Can post pics when I get to 10 posts.

72-73 colnago

Ok here’s a long shot but let’s see if there’s someone else out there in my predicament. I just bought a 72-73 colnago super panto frameset. It’s absolutely gorgeous original red paint with chrome cast lugs. I think they only did this for 72-73. The bike is a bit too small for me but I loved the bike so much I had to buy it. My intentions are to just jack the seat up as high as possible or build it up for my son. Is there anyone else out there that has a 72-73 colnago super with og paint and no damage that’s a little to big for them and would trade for the same bike but smaller?

Perhaps you should think about listing the size of the bike you have?

Tell us what size you have and what size you desire. This long shot could work out. I had a similar request, and I found someone to trade with.

Yes. It’s simple. Guy has a colnago that is too big for him, sees this post, comments, convo ensues...You just want to be what I guess is natural to you.

A large part of the problem, a common one on these forums, is that some of us are unnecessarily snarky and rude to an OP if he doesn't present his case just the way you think it should be. Some people see this as an opportunity to make others suffer because they are having a bad day . . . or their lives are just miserable daily. Others see it as an opportunity to show they're smarter than the OP. Yes, there's lots of reasons some of us choose to be an antagonist, and then you get all butt hurt when the OP responds similarly. Some of you start stuff then play innocent. Have a little respect and understanding of others issues before you put on your troll police badge, or get all flippant, snarky or sarcastic . . . those characteristics aren't funny, they're rude, and they're the kind of behavior that drives some of our newer members away. If some people can be polite, like @noglider's response above, why can't everybody?

Or - alternatively - the guy above made a post that wasn't going to be useful, he was, politely informed of a way to make it more effective, flipped out, made ****phobic comments (now edited), brought in political garbage (now edited), told the forum to "f off" and, for some reason, wasn't suspended?

I've been a member year for 10 years, and that's among the most ridiculous over reactions I have ever seen. I am shocked at the gas lighting in the above post, and that, apparently, you can make blatantly discriminatory comments and get them edited without a suspension. I have never - not once - made a comment like this before, but, in this case, it's necessary. It is absolute non-sense that instead of going after the person who told the forum to "F off" (edited), the above post attacks long term members for being "snarky".

I am embarrassed to be a member today.

I watched this unfold last night. I've been watching this thread closely as I've something I'm thinking of listing. After reading most of Zen's previous entries, I reported two of his posts here as "problematic".

I am disappointed with the Administration's response.

Moderating is a tough, sometimes thankless job.
Some of us don't make it any easier either.

Moderators & Admin review all reported posts, and take action as appropriate by consensus. Not all action we take is seen publicly, such as infractions and PM discussions with members.

We are not employed to monitor 24/7, so it may appear that we have not acted upon something as quickly as some might like.

7 posts were removed for violating BF Guidelines.

This thread is about bicycle frames.

Please PM the Admin if you have further concerns.

Aaron, in your 10 years here when have you EVER seen public notice of someone’s disciplinary sanctions? Other than banning the answer to that is NEVER. An individuals privacy is of the utmost importance here at BF, including YOURS. So let’s continue this discussion via PM.

I have a 60s Carlton Corsa frame, cockpit and brakes in rough-ish shape, size 54cm. I'd love to trade it locally (Orange County, CA) for something tall (62cm-65cm) or for rad parts. :-)
I'll add pics when I get find a minute to snap some.

Hi All, I stumbled across a nice condition 1983 Trek 520 in Gunmetal Blue yesterday. As much as I would like to ride this frame it is just a little too large for me (25.5"). I would be interested in a swap for something a few inches shorter, something in the neighborhood of 22"-23" seems to work for me. Doesn't have to be the exact same bike, just something of similar quality/weight.

Would also consider trade for some cranks/aluminum wheels I can use for my Motobecane. I can post pictures later when I get a chance but thought I would post in case someone is looking for something like this, a really nice riding and lightweight touring frame constructed from Reynolds 501 with manganese alloy fork and stays.

52.5cm 73 colnago super pantografata frameset

Hello I have a 73 colnago pantografata frameset with the chrome cast head lugs. I love this bike but unfortunately it’s too small for me. It’s 52.5cm. If anyone out there has a 70-73 colnago super between 56-58cm with original paint I’d like to find someone to trade with. Not looking to sell this. If I can’t find a trade I’ll build up for son. Would be open to trade for cinelli supercorsa, masi gran criterium but really would like a super same era in my size. Thx
