Heads up on this bike, I actually purchased it on eBay a few weeks ago. The seller is definitely aware that it can be shipped cheaper because he fit it in a pretty small box that was only $42 via bike flights (I know because I sent it back)

The top tube dent occured in shipping to me because the seller packed it with the stem hanging around the TT in that spot.

The bike was shipped bike flights via UPS and the box was crushed badly on the non drive side. The seat stay was bent but not enough to show well in photos. The seat post and seat were packed next to the seatstay which likely contributed to the damage. The rear wheel was also pretty badly out of true. The bike had obviously taken a big hit or heavy weight to left rear during shipping. Being unsure of the extent of the damage to the rear and with the top tube dent I decided to send it back.

I was also disappointed in the condition considering it was described as pristine in the original listing. It wasn't bad but definitely not pristine, for example cable rub and rust under the brake cable on the top tube.
Thanks for the heads up, anyway.

Yowza! I appreciate your attention to detail. But man!, Mike Piggs racing bike? I'd already be riding it. Keep it going.

Personally, whenever my knee twinges and doesn't clear up quickly I switch to platform pedals and comfortable shoes for a few rides until the problem clears up. I don't see any significant difference in my average speed. The only downside to platforms for me is sometimes I get foot arch cramps from pedaling hard with shoes that have too-soft soles. I should get some Five-Tens or proper MTB shoes.
Platforms for the win! Nearly all my rides are sneaker equipped no more speedplay's or SPDs or clips and straps and oddly no more knee pain, or tight shoes or clopping around off the bike. I'm slow but I'm comfy

I got the 'ok to come down' email while I was cutting the grass, so I stopped that and quickly got changed and headed out the door. It was just over an hour door to door. I gave it a quick once over, it looked acceptable, he also had a set of Shimano shoes 'with the little clips that fit in the pedals', so I got those too. They are falling apart, so I'll take the cleats off and scrap the shoes.
So in the ad, he gave the standover height as 31.5 inches, so I was initially looking at this as a parts and or flip/trade bike (since I thought it would be too small for me). I really have no idea where he was measuring that, or if the tires were flat when he did, but it's a 58 and darn, that's my size! Standover is 32 3/8".
There is considerable rust along the top of the top tube, so that will need to be addressed sooner than later. It is super filthy. Anyway, it's late, I'm tired, and tomorrow is one of the busiest days of the year for me, so I gotta get a shower and get to bed. More pics and details later. Oh, serial number is N7Axxxx.

<Cough> Clunker challenge <Cough> nice score

Glad you fixed those beer bike flipped drops before the new pix. Every time I see flipped up drops I think of that guy down the street riding no-hands, 32 oz of beer in one hand, cigarette in the other. Gives me the shakes.

Glad I passed. 58 is too big for me. I had a pristine Expert that size some years ago. Tried to make it fit, but felt like I was riding a giant. Enjoy!!!

Looks like a 56cm from my tiny phone. Good looking out. Those Aero bars are the second ones mass produced and I never cared for them.
BTW my original gripshift for my Dura Ace 6 speed finally came in. Pics soon.

What's up with the fork? It appears to be different than the standard unicrown. Could this be another sponsored rider bike? Hmmmmmm.

Look at the location of the pump peg and compare it to a 54 or 56. That's a quick way for size ID.
