Does the Stowaway have the quick release-like hinge (there's a slot that the quick release slides into and then you fasten the quick release)? If so, make sure the quick release is nice and tight.
If it's a plastic vise-like hinge, there's usually a fastener that secures the hinge after it's closed. Does that make sense?
